I agree. But there were national protests yesterday that (in my local experience) were only attended by 1/5 of the crowd that showed up for No Kings in June. Where was everyone???

I can tell you that down here in Florida, the organizations didn't communicate the event until just a few days before the event.
Same here in Colorado. I would have joined a protest had I known. Communication is essential in the resistance!!
Get on the newsletters from Indivisible, 50501, your local progressive party... get involved, volunteer, scan Mobilize, Google your city with a protest...
I am signed up and involved. I’ve been protesting all summer. I didn’t receive anything about last weekend.
Also, I googled for Denver, much came up. Even mobilize. www.mobilize.us/progressived...
Thank you, but I don’t protest in Denver because it’s too far away. I live in extreme rural Colorado out here fighting for our lives and to get Bobo out of my district. I’m signed up with many groups!
No Kings was a collaboration of about 30 groups, sharing abilities to reach folks ( Mobilize). That ability takes huge efforts and volunteers. Get on newsletters and keep up, join Zoom and webinars. Indivisible and 50501 have been great. May Day Strong did Labor Day.
Not sure if this would have helped but I always monitor www.mobilize.us for local opportunities to volunteer/protest.
For me, the difference is being out in 100 degrees or 80. Oct it is!
We were partying w/ Pope Leo at White Sox Park. The Holy Father drew a heckuva lot more than DJT's tanks. Leo sold out the ball park.
Yes. 300 people protested in a city of 250,000. Get out there people.
Lots are willing. Organizers need to communicate when and where.
Absolutely. I got booted from FB so I have to rely on my sister to let me know when a protest is scheduled.
Tried to find one in D.C., but couldn't until after the fact... I agree that communication is lacking.
After the leadership fallouts and issues with previous resistance movements, groups decided on a decentralized resistance movement by relying on local communities to organize protests, yet this has created an uncoordinated national movement. We need to connect movements as this is unsustainable.
It is problematic to have protests on national holidays. The last weekend of the summer is a big deal for lots of people.
How is that “problematic”? You mean inconvenient? Which is exactly what resistance is SUPPOSED to be?! Until yall can get together on a random weekday and disrupt business as usual to the point of stopping it to a grinding halt, nothing will change. Pop up at immigration hearings and protect people.
Your self-righteous rant ignores reality. It doesn't change the fact that protests on major holidays always result in lower crowd sizes.
What’s self righteous is thinking you’ll make a difference by throwing seemingly performative rally’s once every 3 months instead of listening to the actual communities this is affecting when we tell you what we actually need.
Bingo. I live and work in a resort town, it’s a big wknd. Although I get the urgency needed, I’m glad for the advanced notice, because I need to make overnight plans for D.C.
