I am bouyed by the success of Zohran Mamdani and the groundswell of support for Kat Abugazaleh, and I think that we could get that sort of candidate much earlier. I think the sort of candidate I want could win easily in 2028, if we are only brave enough to try.
He hasn’t won anything. And is running against a hated establishment candidate. Also, NYC is not the USA. I like what I see of him. But he absolutely would be crushed in a national election. No matter how much people want the country to be far left, the vast majority are in the middle or right.
