I prefer metric generally, I am not stubborn. As I said, choose the right tool for the job. The boiling point of water is as irrelevant to my experience of the weather as my experience of the weather is irrelevant to whether water boils. There's no harm in multiple systems to reflect those use cases
Canadian here who’s lived in the US for a long time. Once I got used to F I preferred it to C for everyday use. The rest of imperial units are terrible.
I don't think many Americans will advocate for the superiority of imperial units (how would you?), it's just what we're used to. F° is unique - imperfect for any use but it was invented with the human body temp as a consideration, and ended up with some intuitive appeal.
