More - these corporations have not given the American worker a wage increase outside cost of living in 45 years even though GDP growth has skyrocketed. After paying shareholder value, top executives find ways to pocket money that should be sustaining our middle class workers.
In the 60s/70s, America went from one family wage earner to two to maintain a middle class lifestyle. In the 80s, corporations began the long slide of cutting corporate benefits. In the '90s workers lost their pensions to be replaced by IRAs that are not enough to fund retirement.

As I understand psyop, it’s something done by political powers to control the masses. In contrast, the NT was written in a context where the early Jesus followers—the marginalized masses—were actually subverting political powers. I wouldn’t call that a psyop.

That's true but assuming Jesus existed, the NT being written decades later is already somewhat sketchy. Then it appears that it was slowly and steadily coopted for political purposes over the following decades and centuries.

The Born Again Evangelicals began "translating" the Christian Bible in 1980 They changed it to worshipping the rich and hating gays. It's gone through about 28 revisions and is called the New International Version (NIV). The actual Christian Bible's parables and Psalms is beautiful reading.
