The Census counts people where they are confined (for the purpose of allocating resources to that place). Thus, a Californian confined in Florida is counted as a resident of Florida.

Ummm. Amending the Constitution requires more than a president simply wanting to. Even SCOTUS cannot unilaterally amend it. There’s a process. Laid out clearly in the, what, CONSTITUTION!
SCOTUS can easily interpret the Constitution to mean whatever it wants, no amendment necessary. They already removed our right to privacy with Dobbs.

We might think that but the Roberts Court begs to differ. Alito, writing for the majority, will say you can only be “free” if you’re white, Christian, and a certified citizen.

But trump literally stopped the count of the last Census. As a result, Michigan lost a rep. We need a new FULL CENSUS that counts everyone. Because people move around so fast, & increased population growth the Census should be every 5 years (this might need an amendment).

What’s scary is that the Constitution also says that all persons under the jurisdiction of the United States are entitled to due process - persons, not citizens - but the Supreme Court didn’t care.
The Constitution is nothing but an artifact to these people.
