Pritzker is making me consider moving back to Illinois. My entire childhood in Springfield was one corrupt governor after another but Pritzker is just terrific.
Come! There's alot to still address (the pension and transit funding issues mainly) but he has been doing outstanding for the state.
Also the last time I was in Chicago (for the 2017 People's Summit) I had SO much fun. Everyone seemed way more relaxed and friendly than folks in the Bay Area at the time, then I looked up rents in Chicago and thought, yup, that'll do it.
Yeah, the Illinois govt pensions are probably overly generous, although my mom is a beneficiary and it's keeping her very comfortable. I am incredibly grateful I don't have to worry about her.
