"Some communities"? As a white, British man, my first thought when seeing someone flying/waving a St, George's flag outside of ceremony or sporting event is 'Another BNP/NF idiot'... (note, other words can be used instead of 'idiot')...

I'd be quite happy not to see them at cermonies and sports either. (also white male and ...mature) Mostly I'm disgusted rather than intimidated and I'm feeling a bit guilty for not (yet) buying paint to turn the (one) defaced local roundabout into a pride flag
