Totally! Omori is a rare director with a medical license. He portrays King as a future threat, like nukes or runaway states, but Japan ignored that message and just went meltdown😂

It probably didn't help that half the Godzilla crew leaned into the symbolism and the other half leaned into the spectacle. Thank goodness for the ones that leaned into the symbolism though.

Literally. Toho, once basically a state war propaganda company, found Omori’s opposite political message too much, so they never hired him again. Now Godzilla is just about money and flashy effects… Toho🖕🤡
