It’s not “we help you,” it’s “we pay back the debt we made.” This is how I see immigrants and refugees, legal or not.

And this view is probably what historical revisionists and far-right folks dislike the most. And many will probably see it as hypocritical. And even some people who think of themselves as liberal might not agree.
