Ever since he decided to run for President he's been veering right to try to distance himself from California's lefty reputation. He used to be pro-trans before he started quashing trans rights bills and paling around with Steve Bannon and Charlie Kirk.
No California governor has had a veto override in two generations. Part of that is the governor does the dirty work for the legislature by vetoing some bills. All he's been talking about is democracy this summer. Is that a right wing thing? Of course not.
Democracy and the need to take some rights away from trans people. "He's a fighter" is not appealing to me when it's obvious I'm one of the groups he wants to fight.
What actions has he taken to take away rights? That he created a fourth spot for one athlete in one competition?
