Eventually, they do seize means of production to support their militaristic goals. And, of course, corporations tend to bend the knee. Let’s not forget Bayer, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen, founded by the DAF.

I guess Volkswagen did not really bend the knee so much as emerged as an example of fascist entrepreneurship: the people’s car. Weird that it became one of the most popular cars brands.

They didn’t seize the means of that production. They created it. The post war history of VW and the cleansing of the brand is actually pretty fascinating. Mom has a book about it somewhere. If she can find it she will post it. No promises. She has a lot of books.

Taco is right about seizing the means of production by a certain fascist government. Most governments at the very least direct them during full on wars but it's another case where they are directed to produce the means of murdering civilians by the millions.
