You don't know about Shiek and Zelda? Oh boy... See, Ocarina of Time has our dear princess hiding herself as an (apparent) male ninja going by Shiek. And it's like a plot point, not something which you can kinda skim over. Draw your own conclusions as to what objections can be made there.

Oh, just that if one was really intent on certain targets, Nintendo has a LOT of options. It's weird once you start looking with an eye of crazy people intent on bending the rules to do whatever they want.
