On the one hand? Nobody is stupid enough to pull that trigger. They would be absolutely hammered. On the other hand? They would enforce this on the Bible like they were playing "Duck, Duck, Goose"... only certain people would get nabbed.
I dunno, the What If and your Warhammer IIC videos were also kinda special... But I am hoping this will be worth the wait and live up to the hype!
... and interestingly enough, the person threw me on the block list. (I wasn't even being mean, but oh well.)
If there's anything which pisses me off about COVID, it's that we could have done something to make the impact so much less... but it was decided by a significantly-sized group of people not to help. Actually not only NOT to, but to actively sabotage efforts of others and demonize the concerned.
"Oh nobody dies from COVID, there's other reasons." Yes because of complications from the symptoms? Additionally, I knew someone like this - until they got it. And then their wife got it, and it complicated into pneumonia. Suddenly they started taking it seriously, and pretended they always did.
"The vaccines aren't reliable!" But again, it'll be fine to get flu shots, or the MMR vaccine... just the COVID shots were a problem for some reason. "Oh it only affects... certain people, I'm fine!" Because diseases famously respect street boundaries or state lines, yes.
There were a LOT of people and various details about COVID where people were willfully blind. Or just couldn't keep their objections *consistent*. Another sign they were not really understanding, just parroting. "COVID is no big deal it's just the flu." But don't get the shots, only flu shots!
A lot like anime will do it from time to time. Growing up it was common on "Sailor Moon". I think "Dragon Ball" too. Then there's "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" which absolutely leans into it for the goofy moments before tightening down when it comes to the dramatic moments. A stylistic choice.

I could, but I've lost interest in trying to dive in on this. It's enough to say: There's a context and a reason for these to be in here. You should see the actual normal animations to get a feel for it.
Specifically, any time I see a show with "stylized" stuff inserted like this? When removed from context it gets skewered by people who don't know the context as 'bad animation'. Same as those picking out stretch/smear frames from older works and going "bad art lol".
I need to watch it uninterrupted and not just "whatever I can get". It's just there's such a long list! I still have to finish Babylon 5 sometime! But yeah, someone starts talking about "people with six fingers" being a barometer for AI art and I start snickering as that thought occurs :)
Is that supposed to be calling it slop? I mean, already seen people insisting "it looks like AI made the script AND the key art" in other places. Then again, "Adventure Time" got nine damn seasons...

... I think this is way more powerful than shaming them. Because it makes them inconsequential. They don't get to make a splash, cause a disruption, they just get to vanish into the night with a whimper.
I mean, it's not impossible - it's just impossible to do at the depth of view you're intending to put on it. (I say as I start typing a battle report and "it's only five turns, really, this shouldn't be long - and why is the sun coming up?" :) )
I think a lot of people do. ... and I think it might, just maybe, be somewhat your fault.

But it's also an acquired taste: - Slender Man tangential. - A found footage horror movie. - Using "Marble Hornets" without being directly connected to it. (Even in writers.) - FULL of jumpscares and occasional digital distortions. - The protagonists are not really good people, really.
One more now that I recall, and it's because I was familiar with the source material: "Always Watching". It isn't exactly connected to the original source, and it relies a lot on already having some cursory knowledge about the Slender Man mythos. Which is in the "fad" territory. It was interesting.

The NES game was... look, I'm 90% convinced it was another game with the license plastered over it. But it was still a fun game.
"Johnny Mnemonic". It's not 'good' but Keanu is interesting in it as a courier who carries data files in his brain. It's weird because I saw this before I actually saw "Blade Runner". Also, home to a scene I really love. (Source of the GIF) Problem is, the rest of the movie feels "bleh".
"Clash of the Titans". The 1981 version, which is full of stop-motion stuff. It's also been said to be dull, but I honestly enjoyed it growing up. These days I'd recommend it because said stop-motion is a lost (and expensive!) art.
"Willow". I love it, this is where I know Val Kilmer from, and both Warwick Davis and him make the movie work. It's very by-the-numbers, and there's a lot of dialogue about how "it's just fantasy Star Wars!". It's not, it's really... not.
Hm, okay. The list of films I love and want other people to see is part of it, but recommending them is hard because they're often on the "not good" side of movies. Or at the least have been skewered by enough critics to make people dislike them. I'll throw out three.

Only to land on a hard surface, under the inverted teacup. The smell of tea was strong, overwhelmingly so. The sorceress snorted and dropped the tea cup on top. "Challenge accepted." Muffled through the dome of fine china. "Oh settle down, it's not like this was Kyoto. That would be REAL trouble."
A battle would ruin the city, and more importantly the sights. As the cup was finished, Evalia turned it upside down over the saucer and a pool of black appeared in the bottom. As the collie stepped into those deep shadows - it was like stepping off a cliff. Swallowed up in darkness, and falling.
There was a moment of the black vixen staring, before she picked up her cup and drained it. Shadows pooled right in the path of the collie, just a slight bit darker than they should be. People did happen to step through trying to avoid those feet, noticing a chill in the air. A smell like... tea?
How about Fizban? I'd ask about Elminster but he usually is easier to recognize.
While I hear about how often the Warrior of Light (FF14) keeps saving the world from cataclysm... ... all I can think is there's a red-haired adventurer smiling as he writes his memoirs.

From what I recall, it required a mixed tech base and had an issue with crit slots. Then there was the problem of its origins being both explicit and unknown at the same time. In the end, it's really just a massive issue to try to squeeze into canon as existing. And a headache of licensing issues.
Yeah, there's... problems getting it to work. In the HBS game it's relatively easy to just mess around with the stats for the engine, structure, and such. Once you get to the tabletop, it's another story entirely. I know from the forums there had been people who managed to do it, but not easily.
Ah, the hatchet animation was your work? That was really quite a great one, really illustrated why the hatchet and laser couldn't be used - since the hatchet would have to 'deploy' for the strike!
I'm told it looks better these days, but... it's still Cleveland. What that means is really only able to be parsed by people *from* the region. :)

Never mind how EASY it is to fuck up filing your taxes when you do it manually. Yes, even with the damn book open in front of you, a calculator, and scratch paper. (Ask me how I know!) Hey, know what else is bullshit? Filing even if you're unemployed is also mandatory.
This is leaving out the other infuriating thing: They already know how much you made, if you're working for someone else. They *probably* can get the information about how much you make self-employed, too. The reason you are required to file is to see if you're going to omit information.
That's WHY they want people to do it, you know. Uncle Sam wants his cut.
It is, they want to make it *someone else's* fault they vote for someone. Taking responsibility for the choice to cut off people's rights is too much for them. They're not "bad people", they just think certain other people are asking for too much and getting above their place. (Some mild sarcasm.)

#BattleTech Back to my 3034 Classic campaign. My brother learned a harsh lesson tonight: a grounded Union-class DropShip is not a pushover. For one, it's usually got an escort. It's a Lyran DropShip, so that means Lyran escorts. A command lance loaded for bear. (Or the local equivalent thereof.)
