The craziness was emanating from within the government during the last few years of the Tory government. Now the "noise" and craziness is coming from outside, with the likes of Farage, Tice, GBNews and the RW media trying their best to destabilise things. So, yes, Otto was absolutely right...

it was nice to have an actual functioning government, and not a party hiding behind culture wars in order to cover up their inadequacies.

Oh, you've just not paid attention at all, huh? Labour promised to be atleast as bad as the Tories, and they've delivered. They're leaning heavily on anti-migrant sentiment and they've been worse than the Tories for many people in this country.

Immigrants are worse off under Labour, so are the poor, the elderly, the disabled, trans people

We had a heatwave ‘under Labour’ too, is that also their fault? It’s just dishonest/infantile to pretend that world events and the massive injection of cash and media coverage of the far right is not the cause of the immigration panic. You are responding exactly as the far right wants you to, sadly.

Carbon capture is environmentally bollocks, the prison crisis is compounded by the criminalisation of of protest (free speech is being eroded), the water companies continue to rip us off, the cost of nuclear power will never be recouped. The government is arming and aiding genocide. Yes, as bad.

The minimum wage is still shit, pension ages are still increasing, employment rights are slightly better but it’s marginal, the government is anti TU in most of its public sector actions, house building is not increasing and land banking hasn’t been dealt with.

Starmer posts on twitter hatred for migrants and asylum seekers several times a week. He's also the most anti-trans leader we've ever had. Literally all they have are culture wars and misleading PR around their policies. I bet you think GB energy is a good policy right? Lol
