When the surgeon was giving me a c-section, my husband peeked over the curtain. He said he couldn't really see anything past my belly anyway 🤷♀️ If I hadn't been so fucking terrified, he would've tried to look more, but I was his first priority.

Husband was allowed to stay with me during my second delivery (had a VBAC—first was an emergency C so he wasn’t allowed in). I made him stay by my head the whole time because I knew he wouldn’t be able to handle all that going on down there 😆

First kid was vaginal delivery, and he had no problems looking down there. They offered me a mirror, and after the third time I had to say no, I added, "I don't wanna see what's going on down there." My C wasn't urgent, but could've been. I was terrified, and almost broke Mr's hand squeezing.
