I feel so incredibly tired. I’m working on a huge project that I don’t feel good about sharing online due to all the garbage that comes along with it now. It’s hard, because I’m used to sharing my process. It’s one of the best things I’ve worked on, and I am super proud of it, and I can’t show it.
I feel incredibly discouraged. I spent so much time on my online presence. I know that it could disappear at any time, because in the end I don’t own that presence, the platforms do. I was aware of this, but do we really have a choice? As working artists, we really don’t.
This is how to be seen. This is the most reliable way to make our income. Almost all the brick and mortar stores find us online. I’m not sure what I want to do here. I took a well paying job, because after 20+ years of the hustle, I was tired. I have the luxury of not spending the time online..
but what of those who don’t? It’s also really hard to get rid of the mindset of social media just incorporated into my rotted brain. Maybe I should just hand over my physical address, and a date for you all to catch my artwork as I just throw it out the window..
