We're banning sports gambling. Just straight-up illegal, public whippings, driving it back underground.

Horses? Sure. Regular casino in-house stuff? Sure. But sports betting is pure degenerate shit and legalizing it online is one of the insidious plagues of the 21st century.
Absolutely. Hate that shit. There’s a reason that shit used to be limited to scumbag bookies.
I would be okay with allowing sports gambling _but only_ in the sports book of a casino. No more app shit. You want to bet dumb parlays, you have to endure secondhand smoke and flashing lights for 3 hours to see if it pays off. Enjoy.
100% This shit is a problem because they made it easy.
Also, having a suburban-based teenaged relative in a gambling addiction rehab because those apps are so easy to find, it would be cool if the only way he could bet on sports was in a place he would be carded and refused.
Because lord love him, he’s simply not skeezy enough to get a good fake or convincing enough to pass for older.
It's me, the guy also against casinos in addition to legal sports gambling
Oh I fucking hate both but I’m willing to concede that total elimination of large scale legal gambling is probably not happening, given that even getting a rein on sports betting is unlikely now that it’s entrenched and no one in office cares as long as donors make money.
It is a useful distinction to have! Like personally, I hate casinos and alcohol and a bunch of other things other people enjoy. I will concede regulation as harm reduction
I’d accept that compromise.
The prompt specifically says "terrible" though...not "long overdue and common sense"
