I’ve loved my local libraries since I was a kid. I still go to and use the library for research, a place to sit and work that isn’t at home, or to just get books. My own books are available as ebooks through library apps. Libraries fucking rock.

We went to a Chinese place (a well-known dim-sum spot usually always full) and had the most delicious pork thing ever, I’m in love with it and want to go back to this place for more.
As someone who has worked in academia most of my adult life, yeah. It's...not good, and it really does sour me on these types and anything they say, because it's clear they don't respect me and the actual work that gets done in college teaching/academia.
Anyway, people are still making/writing science fiction in some way/shape/form (sometimes just calling it "speculative fiction" which is...another issue, but whatever), including yours-truly. Gimme money for it.

The closest I’ve ever seen of the reality of teaching in TV or film was the bits of ABBOTT ELEMENTARY I’ve seen, as well as some bits from DERRY GIRLS.
I’ve never seen an accurate representation of what being an actual working college professor is like in film or TV ever, unless you count a dozen screaming students demanding attention of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in THE LAST CRUSADE.
