Hey cis friends, let's chat a second. I know it seems like Newsome is a great choice, and he'll protect you against republicans... but the thing is, he's already made it clear he won't protect us trans individuals and would in fact harm us openly just like Trump.
Believe it or not, that does not make us want to vote for him. Why should we be instruments in our own destruction? At best, we are choosing our flavor of it... We aren't making a stand because we hate you, or that we want more Trump... it's that you're asking us to put everyone before ourselves.
We're tired. We've been fighting for years at this point and all we've had to show for it is more and more of our rights stripped or chipped away at till Newsome is supposed to be the GOOD option.
