Gquuux may ultimately be one of my least favorite Gundam (choice of words is important because I didn't hate it by any stretch). It threw out too many ideas, and didn't really follow through with any of them. Not UC lore, not it's setting, not even it's own character relationships.
For the first time since Gquuux ended, I had some real thoughts on it. Okay, mainly because I saw a thread asking if gwitch or gquux was better... And I just couldn't think of a single thing I preferred about Gquuux. Gwitch fumbled a few important things... But Gquuux never had me invested at all.

The first episode has a scene where an 8 year old girl is punished at her school by being tied up naked and it's hardly the only time REALLY QUESTIONABLE stuff happens. It was too much for me (other incidents include an adult shoving his hand down a boy's pants to figure out if he had a penis...)

Doing my first watch through, and it's really something. If art is supposed to make you feel things, it's top tier art. That said, it certainly has it's weird moments... Dukur Iq literally driving a motorcycle to heaven is not what I was expecting from the last episode I watched.
Haven't read the "Gundam" interview yet, but it certainly reads like sour grapes. Also, imagine forgetting the immense success that "The Witch from Mercury" series had in bringing newcomers into the "Gundam" franchise, myself included, and the record breaking Gunpla sales it had as a result.
