Absolutely useless. Half the Champo would have been all over him if they'd known we would have done a cheap deal with a big sell on. But noooooo, we sold him to apparently our besties who can't give us anything!

Yea, we sold well the last two years, but they were all players we didn't really want to sell. We only wanted to sell players we didn't want this summer. Why should we expect clubs to desire players we don't want?

And Meslier apparently had offers from 2 clubs, but we didn't get those over the line. So now he'll go for free, which is such a shame.

Shame for him too because he's not going to play for a year.

Yeah that is a fair point. Grumble grumble grrr. I'm basically a bit worried. Do we have enough creative players rather than progressors and finishers? Will Gnonto, Tanaka and/or Stach be able to fulfill that role or will we be stuck to purely crossing into the box and getting it to our striker?

I know crossing to a striker is fine, but having only one route to score is too easily defended. What do you think? Is it all doom and gloom or will be able to get this group working as long as not too many injuries?

Everton pushed us out wide all night trusting they could defend balls into the box. We’re pretty easy to read as we rarely try to go through the middle having zero creativity in there (apologies all Brenda fans)
