I honestly think that the quest to get everything "right" is one of the reasons for the downfall of the democratic party... Nobody is perfect, our opinions aren't going to align with everybody at all times, and when somebody (inevitably) "messes up," we dismiss them or throw them to the wolves.
(Not saying we should embrace a W who we only agree with for a dislike of Cheetos... but there's gotta be some kind of middle ground between "my way or the highway")
This is disingenuous. I don’t want a candidate to “get everything right,” I want a candidate who doesn’t throw trans kids under the bus and doesn’t believe kids in Gaza deserve to starve. Folks on the right are willing to forget their morals for the vote. Liberals don’t do that.
Sorry if it came out as targeting you, or the topics you mentioned... not my intent. I'm tired of my liberal friends giving everybody shit for not being aligned with their views - not recycling a can when we are miles from a recycle bin, driving a few miles when i'm late instead of biking...
