Not fair. While Road Apples is absolutely incredible, Up to Here set the stage for all Hip that was coming so it edges Road Apples out for me just for that reason.

Come on, people. Play the best three tracks on Up to Here, then blast Three Pistols while in a moving car, and you realise it is worth more than the lot of them.
Road Apples - The Tragically Hip (1991): The second studio album from the band, it featured the hits Little Bones, Three Pistols and Twist My Arm. It was the band's first album to go #1 in Canada. In Canada, it was certified diamond status with 800,000 copies sold.
Up To Here - The Tragically Hip (1989): The debut studio album from the band (they released an EP before this), it included the songs Blow at High Dough and New Orleans Is Sinking. The album earned diamond status in Canada (1 million sold). It won a Juno and reached #13.
These are the guys who were Film Studies classmates and casual friends of mine during my time at Queen's! This is really the only album of theirs that I like. I remember them best as the unofficial house band at the Grad Club on campus. They did a killer version of "(I'm Not Your) Stepping Stone".
This is an impossible choice.
That’s a tough one. First time I saw the Hip was on the Up To Here tour. Road Apples has some great tracks, too. I don’t think I can choose between these two.
Oh god, why… this is like being asked to choose your favourite child. While Up To Here is a classic with so many great songs, they turned it up a notch with Road Apples, and Cordelia is definitely one of my all time favourite songs.
Oh this is a tricky one, but Road Apple's gotta take it.
