No, there isn't any NOW... and how can lawmakers write appropriate legislation in assault rifles/weapons if they cannot be accurately defined. A person can modify so many different weapons to be used in an assault... so, how can we legislate against them?
Renew the 1994 law.

It did nothing to stop mass shootings... or do you think that renewing that law will end them? The problem is much bigger than that poorly written law because so many weapons can be modified and people can easily get guns in the US.

Because passing firearms legislation is nearly impossible in our political climate.
The NRA and groups that support the 2nd Amendment create the most roadblocks.
