I agree, I'm pretty sure the point was actual homesteading sucks ass, most people who claim to do it are rich larpers. Some people can, but most people have a garden they supplement their dinner diet with. Not what I'd call homesteading, but I don't think that's a bad thing either.

Yeah I grew up helping my grandma grow tomatoes. (The dog confused them for tennis balls before they ripened.) But everything here in the 21st century seems to be some sort of branding exercise first and foremost
