True, "branding" is one aspect of overall quality, but they might be good at other things outside of general public perception, like fundraising, substantive agenda, candidate recruitment, etc. Of course, they aren't good at any of those things either.

Every single Dem senator voted for Rubio. Significant numbers of them voted for a bunch of Tru*p's nominees. Why vote for a fascist's nominees? Why bail out republicans in March by helping them pass their budget? Why stand up for Netanyahu? Why not be uncooperative, instead of bipartisan?

Well, I dont love those votes. But most, except for rubio, were made by the same right leaning dems. And also, while I didn't like it at the time, I have to admit that allowing the budget to pass allows EVERYTHING to be put on trump. If we fought it, trump would blame it all on our fight.
