I don't think you're giving our young people their due credit. My younger siblings were all born with access to technology that I never had, but that didn't stop them from using it to furthur their educations or their reading as well as entertainmet.
And by the way, I am not disparaging the young. I love children and know they are our only hope. I suspect this “bread & circuses” blitz of distractions to their learning process is deliberate. It is easier to control the masses when they cannot analyze information properly.
"Blitz" is such an accurate description of what he's doing.
Because it works. They are heaping the spaghetti on us so that we don’t know which way to turn or which of these strands are important.
We need a couple groups per issue focused on solving the issue they are focused on A person can't fix everything by themselves, but a couple people per problem to get the ball rolling is definitely a better thing

I do understand that I have nothing but my own anectdotal experience to base my optimism on. I cannot begin to imagine what you and your family, as educators, have to endure.

Also, I love hearing that your family is one that thrives. The younger members of my family continue to teach our best hope for the future. I am happily retired now in the south of France, writing and watching the chaos with a certain amount of Hope that the country of my birth will right itself.

I agree, a conversation should not be a battle. Sadly, certain public figures have influenced many to attack anything that doesn’t match their beliefs. It’s nice to find a community here where people can exchange ideas without the rancor.
