I think what folks are likely maddest about is the DNC and Dem Leadership repeatedly turning their guns on progressive popular candidates while simultaneously doing shit-all against actual opponents (GOP). We don’t have to have proof of Platner specifically to know they *always* run this play 1/2

&, as the NYC Mayor’s Primary shows, they KEEP running it even after the voters have made their choice. Given the choice between a progressive actual Dem nominee and a 3rd party “centrist”, they still won’t back the progressive. It’s “vote blue unless they might rock the donor gravy train”. 2/2

Cuomo is running as an independent because he’s a sore loser. I look forward to Mamdani winning with his long list of Dem endorsements (which I expect will ramp up closer to the election as well)
