Asked at work about a genAI thing. The problem in building software is often not the building part. It's the "figuring out what the hell you want to build in the first place" part. All the technology in the world won't help if you're bereft of ideas or don't know what problem you want to solve.

(I try not to think about how much time I have spent building the wrong thing because: the designs were unclear/unfocused, we only considered the happy path, we were not based in reality, solved a non-problem, were actually making the problem worse, and so forth.)
