A quick search shows they researched cross reactivity during 2023 MPox outbreaks - supply might be the issue but an effective vaccine already exists.

Yes. I’m sure they still have samples of the original Smallpox Vaccine stored at the CDC too. Provided RFK Jr hasn’t already flushed them down the toilet by now. The problem is mass production of enough of the Smallpox or Monkeypox Vaccines to cover MILLIONS of Americans in time to save lives.
