I don’t know how this is relatd to the issue. Who are the “pirates”? Why does this have to do with “handing people over to the ICC”

Attacking ships on the high seas is piracy. Any country can prosecute pirates, doesn't have to be the ICC.

All the best with this very strange interpretation of maritime law. Let me know if you have any examples in the 20th and 21st century of US military forces being prosecuted (let alone convicted) for “piracy”. 🤷🏾

There are none, sadly. Because the US is a big, heavily armed, bully that ignores international law, and no other country is willing to call them out or bring them to justice for their criminal behaviour. Even the 'good' ones are pretty bad (Biden/genocide in Gaza etc)
