I was a nurse during the pandemic. I’ve zipped more body bags than during my entire career before

I’ve never met a single person who worked on the front lines who thinks we were too cautious. It’s insanity. You and your colleagues really went through it.

I’ve debated that with myself almost daily since 2020. Reasons I don’t quit • I want to be there for my community • Too burnt out to start new career

Thank you for this. Exactly. It was an unknown disease and still we were sent in (only the nurses, btw) with flimsy, reused PPE and later shower curtains cut to face shields because tRump sat on “his stockpile” 🤬 Also nobody talks about the long term effects Covid has on a lot of people.

I seem to recall that Trump handed the strategic national stockpile (of PPE, ventilators, etc) to Jared to manage, and JK decided the thing to do was to make states bid against each other for his favor.

Yeah, Kushner said “it’s our stockpile”, while the orange piece of shit shipped Covid testing equipment to his buddy Putin. That was during the time where patients had to wait 7-10 days for a test result. Ventilators were so scarce that it was decided no one over 65 can have one. Devastating times
