I would thinj that leaving a very wide aisle with pews can accomplish accessibility, where people in wheel chairs can sit on aisles? but I dont use a wheel chair. Still, as a potential future priest who prefers pews but prefers accessibility more, thank you for this point and your answer!

Yeah. One of the big issues we deal with in our church is that the center aisle is too narrow. You can’t bring a coffin with pallbearers down the aisle at all, for example. We do have a couple of “cutout” areas in the pews where people with wheelchairs can go.
