This pic is of us at 5 am on October 23rd 2023. She drove down to Minneapolis and stayed with me for nearly a week so she could take care of me when I had top surgery. I was so lucky she could do that. Who better to care for me after surgery than my mom who was also an RN?
Tomorrow would have been my mom's 54th birthday and I think its gonna be a hard day. Please pray for me, my stepdad and my brothers. 🕯 I miss her so much. Its not fair that she barely made it to 53.

My air fryer and frozen fries is a big thing I do, or cutting up actual potatoes and seasoning them with a cajun-y seasoning blend and air frying them too. But I want to try to have more protein and veggies haha

I would thinj that leaving a very wide aisle with pews can accomplish accessibility, where people in wheel chairs can sit on aisles? but I dont use a wheel chair. Still, as a potential future priest who prefers pews but prefers accessibility more, thank you for this point and your answer!
I think pews are often more pretty than chairs, too. Also, as a fat guy, pews are more comfy than many chairs tend to be! And as a big fan of kneeling, pews make kneelers more usable.

For me, conversion into the episcopal church was the result of the beauty of the BCP in large part, mixed with the joy of the reality of the ancient practices and traditions of the church as being realities I could fully access as someone who was assigned female at birth and who is queer.
I mean, this is clearly a catholic standpoint. My parish is full of former roman catholics who converted, not for loss but for the beauty of full inclusion. Several of them were life long catholics who experienced the bitterness of seeing sacraments withheld from their queer children, for instance

Last night I had serious anxiety in my body that I couldnt pin point. Usually I ruminate on whatever is causing anxiety, but instead I just felt my body being tense and alert, so I had to take an emergency anxiety med that made me sleep so hard I missed mass and spent my day sleeping.
I didnt really get the chance to know him, he had just become the very part time transitional bishop of north dakota and I was pretty new in the episcopal church ar the time. But my confirmation was a beautiful experience I will forever cherish! ND hadnt had any affirming bishops before him.

Many people take these medications and they help them to function, to have healthy lives, to have happy lives. Ive seen first hand how the right regimen of therapy and medication lead two of my very best friends who had been hospitalized for suicidality multiple times go on to become healthy!
SSRIs, adhd medications and testosterone have all dramatically improved my quality of life. I restarted sertraline in early October after not needing it for several years, because my mom being in the ICU then dying severely exacerbated my anxiety. Its been very very helpful.
Ive had an anxiety disorder & PTSD since my early teens in large part due to my mom's abusive ex-husband. Ive been on SSRIs off and on since my early 20s. I also have ADHD and have been taking adderall or vyvanse off and on since I was 14. I also am trans and take testosterone. Im not violent.
