This is an excellent list. Personally id throw RoS over the prequels out of respect for the fact that it at least demonstrates some basic technical competency but i can definitely how it represents something worse and more cynical even if the movie itself at least looks and sounds good.
Attack of the Clones gets points for having Christopher Lee. Revenge of the Sith gets points for the Anakin vs Obi-won fight.
I just straight up liked Phantom Menace
I'll give menace points for being my favorite movie when i was six because Double Lightsaber Cool. Both it and Clones mostly leave me confused about what's happening in the plot at a basic, literal level that doesn't get any clearer when I look it up.
Like RoS' writing is dogshit for sure. In the prequels there isn't a single competent component at any level; stiff performances, boring sets, etc.
I'm not as critical of the prequels. Yeah. They're lesser Star Wars, but they're still Star Wars.
