I used to give Rep minority leader Jeffries & Sen minority leader Schumer some slack because their powers are weak. But constantly seeing them being inactive while Governor Newsome is doing all the heavy lifting is unacceptable. While both men are minority leaders in Congress, they can still fight.
Both are institutionalist types and neither are natural leaders. Time to move on. No one is entitled to these positions and the Dems must recognize that.
You are right, it's up for Dem voters to March & demand new leadership. If the Dem retakes Congress, Rep Jeffries doesn't give confidence that there will be investigation into DOGE, Musk, & subpoena members of Trump's inner circle. There are still unanswered questions that need to be addressed.

Schumer, being an old white guy of the old guard, is one thing. But there is no excuse for Jeffries at all. If I had a magic wand I would Make both of them disappear from Congress! No wonder Democrats lose elections. They are weak and ineffective, incompetent.
They can immediately do a live press conference on the step of the Capitol blasting Trump for using the National Guard for political purposes. Go to Alligator Alcatraz with another live press conference & inform the American the facility is a place of cruelty. Organized fund raising to help midterm
My gosh, just because you are a minority leader doesn't mean you are insignificant. You still have power in the party, & influence. Rep Jeffries should organize an event in parts of the country that are hurt by Trump policies. Work with Gov Newsome to coordinate with one another to spread messages.
