Yeah, that was why they wanted me to wait. And I was like, you see how much ibuprofen I’m taking just to literally walk, you think that’s better? I just want to walk my kid two blocks to the park without needing two days to recover, do the damn surgery.
*hugs* I’m so sorry they made you fight so hard for it. I pay for it every time I take one flight of stairs without a compression sleeve or brace on and I don’t want it to get worse. Am I supposed to wait tillI can’t leave my apartment at all?!
My favorite was when he said “you know, it would help if you lose weight” and when I said “oh, is that going to magically make cartilage grow back into my joints?” and my husband burst out laughing they scheduled the surgery.
Ha! My primary kept telling me to lose weight when I talked about the pain and it wasn’t until I’d unintentionally dropped pounds a few years ago that she listened and gave me the first referral. Even today, I had to be like “It’s bone on bone.”
