I like Chappelle, but he's kind of at the same point in his career for me that Louis CK is. Famous due to his comedic acumen, yet toxic.
George Carlin got there, too.
Maybe I missed it but I never think of Carlin hateful, or ungrateful, I just feel like toward the end he lost a comedic step.
He started spouting off about pretty much everything - very much an old man yells at cloud thing. It was very cringe.
He probably no longer finds it remotely amusing and is irritated at trying to warn everyone for decades, and no one really gave a shit.

Comedians make a name for themselves by, usually, being over the top, in whatever form they use. Really, I respect that Netflix is allowed to make whatever decisions they want to. Just as the public has the right to respond as it wants to. Freedom 😁🥰
