He did get "four years’ probation, complete sex offender treatment, to pay a $1,500 fine, and perform 120 hours of community service." That's a lot of shame. The victim's parents don't feel justice was served, but the victim may be satisfied that everyone acknowledges that what he did was wrong.

Says the victim's mother, who is clearly very affected by this. I'm sure she is right about her daughter being traumatized, but I am not convinced she speaks for her daughter in a neutral way.
you know who is affected more by rape than the parents? the actual victim. it’s so interesting when men hop on social media and minimize the impact of rape on children, while centering the feelings of the rapist. not a good look.
