Sooner or later it's going to sink in to these assholes that the only real leverage the U.S. still has over other nations (collectively) is military power...and even that has limits.

not entirely true, our agricultural products the world needs, the problem is other countries will come to us last, not first. and it is having an adverse effect on the world as China is now buying more soybeans from Brazil, which means they are cutting down rainforests.

The death of American exceptionalism is a good thing and overdue. Recognition of the US's *actual* place in the world will be very useful if/when the authoritarian regime is removed.
