Nice, but I think it doesn't go far enough to be efficient. They should either make the work compulsory, preferably for 0 wages, failure to comply meaning expulsion from school, thus ensuring future cheap labour, or ensure lowering the parents wages so they have to send kids to make extra bucks.

I had to work on a ranch between 14.5-17.5 years old that was a very private, VERY RELIGIOUS boarding school in TEXAS. I cleaned a chapel, washed pots & pans, moved irrigation lines and hauled hay. I was paid between $15 -$25 PER MONTH.
