The story of America since the Civil War has been a total lack of accountability. The Confederacy got let off entirely, no one went to jail for Vietnam, Iraq/torture, the Great Recession, Jan. 6, etc. We are in this moment precisely because people in power continue to get away with criminality.
We will never be a functioning country again if we don’t have an American-style Nuremberg Trials and Reconstruction 2.0 after this is over. If Democrats don’t have the stomach for that, they need to be ran out of office or join Republicans in a cell.
If individuals like Stephen Miller aren’t behind bars by the end of the decade, we have failed and the country is done for. Doesn’t matter if a Democrat wins in 2028 because it’ll just continue to happen so long as there’s no actual downside to criminality in power.
Jail is too good for the exec. Branch. Millers head shoud be put on a pike and kept hanging in dc for 100 years as a reminder of what should happen to nazi traitors

From what I understand Betty Ford wasn't even kind to Gerald Ford about that pardon. I do wonder if the precedence was set back then politically, but we all know that wyt men have been protecting wyt men FOREVER, presidential pardons or not!
