The takes that Vance would be worse than Trump feel overwrought to me. Yes, he is smarter than Trump but he does not command even close to the loyalty that Trump does inside MAGA, not to mention he doesn’t have the mythical effect that Trump has on the average voter. I think he’d fail — quickly.
