I’m going to have to get my data updated. I know we’re still short by dozens of trans shooters from even approaching parity in shootings with cisgender people. (Like… at a rough 1% of the population, on this chart we were missing 25 shooters. Which put us in the 1/10th of ‘normal’ range.)
What the hell, have you really had almost three thousand mass shootings in the US? Over what time period? Does this include the American civil war?

It literally says in the graphic. That's 3000 mass shootings from 2018-2023, so five years.
So it does. The numbers are just too implausible for my Swedish brain to read the graph accurately...
A lot of folks are happy to be right in knowing this fact, but don’t get comfortable about it. The same is true of the immigrant community, and facts are the least important thing to the fascists in power currently. The rates may be different mathematically, but the dipshit in charge can’t do math.
the alt right will somehow find a way to hand wave that gargantuan red bar away, or claim that this graph is a lie, or really just do anything to deny it sadly. you could tie them down and lecture them hours and hours of actual research and facts and they'll still find a way go against it
