Which of those countries has anything like the 2A? The admittedly small sample I'm familiar with (in Europe and Asia) all start from the position that owning a firearm is a privilege, not a fundamental right (much the same with regard to "free speech")

No countries have 2A besides the US… the amount of guns in the US is completely unprecedented anywhere in the world. The only comparison to the US right now is countries in civil war. Even then, they may not have as well armed a population as the US.

Yeah. The initial urge here is always to compare the US to the other rich nations. Reality is is that the US is unique in comparison to everywhere. Rich or poor. And the gun crime rate and attendant issue of mass killing represents that.
Actually, no country has ever figured out what to do with the distribution of guns like the USAs right now. Countries that banned weapons had nowhere near the number of weapons the US has in circulation.
