Its in the 2019 print edition too. I dont remember any of the brothers other then Keith though. Maybe theres a stepbrother?

Not exactly the same but I discovered a line in one of JG Ballard’s final novels that implies that women insert and remove their own IUDs as needed, like, in the bathroom after a shower, on their way out the door, tampon-style. No one ever seems to have commented on it and it’s driven me insane.
