Contrast with 🤷, which I feel implies an exasperation/annoyance. The OG one is chipper resignation, which accurately reflects my headspace FAR more often

For what it’s worth, I generally don’t use it as a passive aggressive gesture. It’s there for sincere “I dunno” moments.
