my one katrina story is that I started a new advertising job that week and one of the CDs (who had a Mac power button tattooed on his neck) named his daughter who was born later that fall “Katrina.” (This was in Cherry Hill, NJ)

ok similar vibe but a few weeks ago i saw someone post on reddit about their dog, Covid, and they were like "oh i got them during the pandemic and we thought it'd be a cool name referencing the time period" and i do not understand naming a living thing after a literal tragedy?????
