Not really when it comes to someone's safety, especially when the context given is that they hadn't used the account for 4 months. They weren't keeping or using the account during that period nor supporting it, were they?

There's a myriad of reasons of why a public person wouldn't have deleted their account yet, companies, etc.

Don't get me wrong I completely understand why you are upset, why of the question, but it's rather a question of time and place. They are being harassed and doxxed, their safety on the line. Have compassion.

Me questioning why a person is on X at this point, does not negate any compassion I may have. But I still feel it’s a fair question even if I am sorry that they are doxed and harassed (and I am sorry this happened to them)

I think if it was any other post, sure, but *the* one where they are showign they got doxxed is not it. And again, they were shadowbanned (and I presume) inactive up until then. It's really just a question of itming on this one, i feel. I doubt you were trying to be rude or uncaring.

Their own post states that after the shadow ban was ended they restarted posting “After 4 hours of posting” So again, I’m sorry that this person got doxxed. But why engage over there? What’s the purpose at this point, knowing what we know about that site?

We don't know what they psoted, they could have very well be direcitng people here, but given that we both dont know twitter doesnt let me check without an account, theres also the fact that Bsky is still not the mainstream app and they are public person. still, time and place, man.

The point is, the risk of engaging adversarially on such a website without proper caution carries a high risk of this happening. It’s an unfortunate reality. Once can argue that it’s wrong, one can say that authorities should fix. But in the real world this was to be expected unfortunately
