Oh I remember those days 😘
Oh I remember those days 😘
Husband remembers his dad sending him and his brother out to split wood with an axe. As soon as they left home, his dad purchased a log splitter. 😂
Oh, we use a log splitter as well. Makes it a LOT easier. The old way sure is a good work out though.
Husband's response to his father was, "Seriously, dad, after we moved out, you buy a log splitter?"
😂🤙😂
Good Gawd, Jim! Way to outshine! 😁😊
Years ago, when Robin and I lived in the village, we had Mona Lisa. She always helped stack the wood. Her favorite spot in the winter was in front of the wood stove. youtube.com/shorts/1pMfE...
Oh, she was special, and making herself so useful! I love her look, and your encouragement! Thank you for that, Jim! 😄
Mona Lisa is so special. She seems very happy to work that job wagging her tails while stacking the wood. 🫶👍😁
She was such a Diva. Robin took this one years ago and it shows how spoiled rotten she was.
Awwww... She deserves some TLC after all she's worked hard for her family. 😁
Such a cutie helper. 🐶💞
Oh. Wow!!!
Gosh, you have to move south for the winter. 😮🙄
I lived in Tampa for 8 years when I was in my 20s. While I enjoyed it, I am not so sure that would be the case now.
I believe you.
The cool part about stacking is that if you don't do it right, you get to do it over...
That is a lesson that only needs to be learned once. Happy Day, friend! 😀
Dad hated making fires. I learned how to. But wood doesn't split itself. One day, after my team lost, I was mad. Mom told me to take it out on the woodpile. From that day forward, I'd split wood until I couldn't swing that axe no more. Dad never again bitched about the wood or the fireplace.
Wow! Heating twice as they say!
